The Lime Tree Hotel is an independent boutique hotel located in the prestigious Belgravia area of London, adjacent to the charming independent eateries and shops of Elizabeth Street.

Our acclaimed café-style restaurant, The Buttery, serves amazing breakfasts and all-day brunch to a discerning local crowd who need plenty of great coffee to keep them going. With a beautiful dining space and the opportunity for outdoor eating in our stunning walled garden, we offer a unique experience.

The role

We are looking for an experienced Barista to work as a key part of our front of house team, taking the lead in ensuring our customers receive fantastic drinks and fantastic service each and every time. The role encompasses the following main responsibilities:

• Preparing consistently high quality coffee, tea and cold drinks
• Processing orders, preparing bills and taking payments using our EPOS system
• Ensuring the counter area is kept clean and free of clutter and our hygiene protocols are followed
• Taking the lead in daily maintenance and cleaning routines for coffee equipment
• Following daily opening and closing checklists for the restaurant

Who we’re looking for

We need an industrious, engaging coffee fanatic with a calm, organised approach who is passionate about great food and drink, and about delivering fantastic service. Ideally we are looking for someone who has the following attributes:

• At least one years’ barista experience in a well-respected coffee house / café / casual dining operation
• Excellent attention to detail to ensure our high standards are maintained
• Strong knowledge of speciality coffee drinks, some experience with wine and / or cocktails a plus
• A fluent English speaker 
• Brilliant at interacting with the public and delivering exceptional service
