Team Lead Marketing (f/m/d) Full Time

About the role
We are looking for a talented and dynamic Marketing Team Lead to join our growing SaaS company in the coffee industry. As the Marketing Team Lead at Cropster, you will be responsible for overseeing the strategic planning, execution, and success of our event marketing, content marketing, product marketing, advertising, brand, and social media marketing efforts. This role requires a creative and analytical thinker who can lead a global team, develop innovative marketing strategies, and drive business growth through effective marketing campaigns. You will report to our Chief of Commercial and work closely with other teams including, but not limited to Sales, Customer Success, Product Management, and Employee Experience.

We are offering this position in both Europe and the US to find the best candidate for the role and the best fit for our global team. The preferred locations for this role in Europe are Innsbruck and Vienna. The preferred location in the US is Sacramento.

What you’ll do

• Team Leadership: Lead and inspire a team of diverse marketing professionals, fostering a collaborative and high-performing work environment. Provide guidance, mentorship, and performance feedback to support individual and team growth.
• Strategy Development: Develop comprehensive marketing strategies aligned with the company’s overall goals and objectives. Identify target audiences, positioning, messaging, and key performance indicators (KPIs) for each marketing function. Partner with the commercial teams and other departments to align the marketing strategy accordingly.
• Content Marketing: Drive the creation and distribution of engaging and relevant content across various channels, including blog posts, social media, videos, and white papers. Guide the development of content calendars, and content production, and ensure consistent brand messaging and tone.
• Product Marketing: Lead the product marketing efforts and support the definition and articulation of the value proposition, positioning, definition of target segments and buyer personas, and differentiation of our products. Collaborate with the product team to gather market insights, conduct competitive analysis, and develop go-to-market strategies.
• Event Marketing: Oversee planning, coordination, and execution of impactful events to promote our coffee product. This includes in-person and virtual events, including trade shows, industry conferences, sponsored events, product launches, and other relevant events. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless event execution and maximize brand visibility.
• Advertising: Supervise our targeted advertising campaigns to increase brand awareness and generate leads. Leverage various advertising channels, such as online advertising, print media, influencer partnerships, and sponsored events, to reach our target audience effectively.
• Social Media Marketing: Oversee the development and implementation of a robust social media strategy to build brand awareness, engage with our audience, and drive customer acquisition. Manage social media platforms, create engaging content, monitor performance, and optimize campaigns based on data-driven insights.
• Brand Management: Oversee the development and maintenance of a strong and consistent brand identity. Ensure brand guidelines are followed across all marketing materials, including digital assets, packaging, website, social media, and other communication channels.
• Performance Analysis: Track, measure, and analyze the effectiveness of marketing campaigns using relevant metrics and analytics tools. Provide regular reports to management, highlighting key insights and recommendations for optimization.

We are looking for someone with

• 5+ years of experience in marketing roles, ideally within the SaaS industry.
• Proven track record of successfully leading, coaching, and managing a marketing team.
• Excellent strategic thinking and problem-solving abilities.
• Strong project management skills with the ability to multitask and prioritize effectively.
• Creative mindset with the ability to think outside the box and drive innovation.
• A results-oriented mindset with a passion for achieving targets and driving business growth.
• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills in English.

That said, we’d be particularly delighted to hire someone with

• An understanding of or interest in the coffee industry and specialty coffee market.
• Proficiency in marketing automation tools, analytics platforms, CRM systems, and social media management tools.
