№№ is an independent, up and coming player on the London coffee scene. We started out as a simple coffee shop with limited equipment and have gradually reinvested in the business, expanded our offering and improved our coffee, step by step. We have now launched our roastery and our electric coffee trike – an outpost of №№ positioned outside Bermondsey tube station!
We are now launching our second bricks and mortar site, on the Old Kent Road, but before that’s ready we’ll open a pop-up shop inside a really nice boutique electrical shop next door. We are looking for a full time barista to run the pop-up shop and potentially also be in charge of the final shop when that’s ready to open. We will set the shop up and provide management and support, but the new barista will take charge of getting this shop going!
Our main focus is coffee, although we also serve homemade cakes and sandwiches and pastries. We never compromise on quality and constantly try our best to improve our recipes and our offering.
In our baristas we look for those who are truly passionate about specialty coffee – being a roastery as well as coffee shop, this is essential. We’re not looking for someone who just needs to make a bit of money; we are looking for someone who lives and breathes coffee and really wants to be part of our team. You should care about every cup of coffee and every customer. We are looking for someone who cares about details and is a perfectionist.
☞ Join us now and avoid regretting it later!
Please only apply if you are passionate about coffee and have experience within the speciality coffee industry. Ideally also experience with using a lever machine, but this is not essential (please find more info about this below).
We pay £11.85 per hour.
Shifts will be flexible as we start, but opening hours will aim to be 7am-1pm Monday – Friday, and 8am-2pm on weekends, once we have enough staff. We’re looking for someone who can take 35-45 hours per week.

Equipment you’ll be working with:
We usually work with a Victoria Arduino: Eagle One, but for this site we’ll start out with using an old school ‘My Way Izzo Pompei’ 2 group lever machine. Similar to that of Ideal Espresso in Greenwich (https://www.instagram.com/ideal_espresso). Prufrock has also recently featured a lever machine in their shop: https://www.instagram.com/p/CkaSzpvtFyJ/?igshid=MDJmNzVkMjY%3D
We’ll compliment the lever machine with a brand new Mahlkönig E65S or a Mazzer Robur and a Moccamaster for batch brew.
